After four years of service we are retiring our Movable Type based site in favor of a more dynamic design. Switching to Joomla! provides the engine to allow us to add customized data access to our growing customer-base including such features as site documentation and case management. |

One of the most respected names in the Information Security Field, Bruce Schneier of CounterPane fame has long complained how our elected officials seem unable to take a systematic, rational approach to developing counter measures to realistic threats. After all, this would require performing a thorough risk assessment and impact study which would highlight government incompetence. So instead, high-flying scenarios are conjured up and impressive measures are proposed. (Read: this is a great way to generate free publicity and create some memorable campaign rhetoric.)
But wouldn't you know it? Just like the old joke about the perfect way to eliminate the mafia is to let the government run the crime syndicate, the scenarios typically cooked up are farfetched but by no means as grand as they could be.
Enter Bruce Schneier's contest. Enter your movie plot threat given his guidelines and become eligible to win a copy of Bruce's book "Beyond Fear" which is an excellent read anyway. And should you win and should your movie plot be made into a movie, please remember where you read about it!
